History of Riders Magic Touch Remote Garage Door Openers For Motorcycles
RMT's owner and founder, Leo Orofino, was lucky enough to find his calling at a young age. Growing up in Toronto, he constantly gravitated towards Bloor Cycle and Sports, the neighbourhood's local bike shop. Rather than gawking at the new bikes in the shop's window, he ignored the front entrance and made his way to the disposal bin out back. Finding spare, unwanted bike parts, he'd trek home with assorted pieces everyday until he had the parts to build his first two-wheeler.
Teaching himself to sand, paint, re-spoke rims, and change out sprockets, the hodge-podge of parts came together as his 'Frankenstein' creation, while serving as his first introduction to the .two-wheel world. And like an ignition, his fire to work and improve on bikes never flickered out.
Leo has gone on to revamp, rebuild, and restore countless bikes over his career, from his first motorcycle a used Honda 500 three-speed to the collection of wicked bikes he has today. While he perfected his methods of bike maintenance and restoration, he always obsessed with enhancing the actual journey a motorcycle rider takes.
Being a bikehead all his life, Leo recognized that advancing performance isn't the only way to improve a motorcycle ride. Instead of building upon something that most people already love, he shifted gears, thought outside the glove box, and it clicked.
Taking his concerns as an individual and long-time rider, Leo focused on making the beginning and end of a rider's adventure as enjoyable as the trip itself. Not only did he want to make the total motorcycle experience more satisfying, but he wanted it to be safer as well. Over the years of working with bikes, the number of bikes suffering excessive damage from simply falling over was staggering to him, and a problem he could fix.
That's when the Rider's Magic Touch was born.
